Supercharger - Santee, SC

I just used this SC twice last week on our trip from Virginia to Florida and back. On the way down, an officer came by to chat about the car, that he'd been out catching people going 100+ today on I-95, etc. He also mentioned that recently an owner could not disconnect his car from this SC and TM came out to remedy the issue but he was stuck for two days. Anyone have any more information on this story? Just curious. I imagine it would have been a car problem, not a SC problem...?

Sounds like an extremely isolated and unfortunate car problem. I've never heard of that happening.

I have used that SC 4 times without issue.

I had no problems with the SC either and enjoyed a good dinner of baked chicken on the way back home. I also can't confirm that's exactly what happened -- it's just what the officer said.

Charged up and took a nights break at the Clarks Inn place, last week on my way down to FL from CT. Easy access from I - 95. Nothing classy around except perhaps the Clark's Inn restuarant

I was there on 10/21 and all was well. A bridge not too far away was washed out, but it didn't impact getting to the Supercharger. Along the way there, I just saw a sign that said "No left turn. Bridge washed out".

Sadly, I arrived at 12:50 am, so all I did was plug in and then hit the road. I'm sure others may be able to see if it's still there in the daylight.

It's called the "General Store" right across the street.

We stopped in the General Store yesterday, I recommend the ice cream . It's a short walk from the SC.

yes, it is typical rural SC.
IMHO the hood quotient is on the high side. charging late at night can seem to be a bit dodgy

Santee is ok, Lumberton, NC on the other hand is where you need to watch your back... I have met quite a few drunk locals hanging out on previous trips. It's a shame they didn't put this near the starbucks on the other side of the street.
