Hello Tesla friends!

I have a treat for you guys. I was on my way to Sedona, and traffic was pretty bad on the 179. For whatever reason I looked left and guess what I found? You got it right, the Sedona SC!!

Here are some pics I took…

First a backup selfie, a pic with the Temp filter from Snapchat, and even a panoramic. Seems like it’s going to be a 16 stall urban charger type. You can find them at the Collective Sedona. The address is: 7000 AZ-179, Sedona, AZ 86351. (You can get a better idea of their location from the GoogleMaps screenshots I took ;).)

Had a chance to swing by on my way out of Sedona today. I was quite surprised to see the two guys working. Great people from Alabama that seemed excited about the charger (same guys that were working on the charger near I-17 & 101).

Today, they were changing out the concrete blocks under the chargers. Said the wrong blocks were installed or maybe the wrong cables (can't remember now).

Parking lot is now paved in this area.

They are planning for the transformer to be installed out near the sidewalk (see photo showing area outside their fence). However, they said that they don't have a permit yet for the transformer and they also said APS is being difficult to work with. Something about the transformer being above the waterline. Sounded like APS needs to do some sort of study on this location.

I asked if they think maybe another month to go.....the response was that it will almost certainly be quite a bit longer than that. Although it wasn't said, I got the feeling that this one has a LOT of red tape and is looking more like May. They didn't so much as say that, but it sure sounded this way to me.

They will be working here over the next few days, then heading back home to Alabama. That is a good indicator that there is a long time to go on this one.

Good info dmdrums!

However, I almost wish these would just show up overnight without being discovered until they are done like the ones at Scottsdale Quarter. No waiting, just BAM...a new SC ready for everyone to enjoy! This one sounds like it could be a long wait...but hopefully done for the busy summer travel season.

APS has proven to be a pain to work with on our Powerwall project as well. We've been working for 9 months to get them to approve everything, and this is with an existing solar grid-connected system that they approved 8 years ago and has been working flawlessly the entire time.
