And there we go, early November. I'm not holding my breath, but an xmas present would be nice.but the second it opens up, they best have a prefab on standby to drop somewhere along that route.

I still have my 2015 S85D. Can't decide if I go for another S or a Y. But odd as it may seem, I do want to wait for HW4. HW3 has been out for sometime now.Shelby just doesn’t seem to be a priority for the Tesla SC team… Also Conrad was supposed to be part of the expansion. There are so many Albertans who drive down to Phoenix, Palm Springs, and Las Vegas in the winter this would be so great for us. I’ve also been told this SC route would be available “soon” when I bought my P85D in 2014 sigh.
Never a good time to buy a Tesla!I still have my 2015 S85D. Can't decide if I go for another S or a Y. But odd as it may seem, I do want to wait for HW4. HW3 has been out for sometime now.
Town pump is mentioned in the article but not for Shelby I-15 Canadian access.Montana is starting to give out grants for EV charging stations. Hopefully Tesla is getting in on this and the State is greasing the wheels a bit in Shelby. Conrad is getting a CCS (and chademo?) station (NLT fall 2023), but nothing announced for Shelby yet.
New Charging Stations Bring Expanded Travel for Electric Vehicles Across Montana
New electric vehicle charging stations, made possible by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) share of the Volkswagen Settlement funds, will expand travel options across Montana’s key corridors for electric vehicle drivers. The grants match private investments in electric...news.mt.gov
Town Pump has been the place many Montanans and tourists stop to fuel their vehicles. ‘Electric fueling’ will soon be an option at 15 Town Pump Convenience Stores across Montana. Town Pump is also independently installing charging stations at locations in Whitefish, Boulder, and a new Town Pump under construction in Billings.
“Throughout Town Pump’s nearly 70 years of serving Montanans, we have understood the value of adapting and evolving to the needs of our customers,”said Jim Kenneally of Town Pump.“If our customers are moving in this direction so will Town Pump,” he continued.
Town Pump Convenience Stores with charging stations are open 24 hours a day and offer public restrooms, food, beverages and a casino. Charging stations in Big Timber, Conrad, Hamilton and Helena are located next to a Town Pump operated hotel.
They should take the temporary stalls they have posted in Spokane when that whole mess gets sorted and put them somewhere along I-15 until they can install something. Any sort of DC fast charger would make this route so much more accomodating. What a shame. Tesla still needs to do something though. A 6 stall in Lethbridge would help (bypassing Fort Macleod via 519 is faster anyways) and then one of those temporary urban chargers on a pallet *anywhere* on 4/I-15 would make the trip doable in a SR+

You were right, Shelby has been removed as a "coming soon" from the updated Find Us map. I'll remove it from supercharge.info for now.At this time there has been no plans to continue with this charger and it should dissapear from tesla's find us page in the next update.
There are 21 charging stations in various stages of development in Montana. The big push currently is to establish more fast-charging stations, pushing the number of fast chargers to 18. Brouwer said DEQ will be involved in the next planning phase as well.
_ “The funding that we've released so far, has really been focused on building out a backbone of fast-charging equipment along high-use corridors, so specifically the full length of I-90, the full length of I-15, I-94, Highway 93, and Highway 2,” Brouwer said. “We anticipate the federal funding will also be prioritized along those routes, which are designated by the Federal Highway Administration as alternative fuel corridors. And those designations are made based on Montana's nomination of those corridors.”
_ There are several private partners in the charging stations across the state, which were announced last December.
_ NorthWestern Energy was awarded grants to develop charging stations in Big Timber, Billings, Conrad, Deer Lodge, Dillon, Great Falls, Hamilton, Hardin and Helena. That grant helps cover the cost of a fast-charging station and one level-two charger at a Town Pump in each community, according to DEQ.
_ Town Pump received grants to install charging stations at convenience stores in Eureka, Kalispell and Libby.
_ Missoula Electric Cooperative installed one fast-charging station and one level-two charger at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation.
Really good to see Kalispell on that list!Re: DC charging in MT

It is also good for travelers to GNP, etc tho.We got Milk River pretty much confirmed now; Shelby can pound sand.
A very Calgary-centric view of this one.We got Milk River pretty much confirmed now; Shelby can pound sand.
I may be holding a grudge towards a short sighted town council blocking my winter escape route. Had everyone's favorite pandemic not made an appearance to render it moot for two years, I'd probably be angry enough by now to write them a strongly worded letter.A very Calgary-centric view of this one.
They are going to want to make travel along US Highway 2 possible eventually. Milk River doesn't support that.
