Supercharger - Sherman Oaks, CA (location speculation, permit not found)

This seems like a residence not a place to put a group of super chargers. Anyone know whats up with this?

Pins on Tesla's map that represent "coming soon" Superchargers are almost always put in the geographic center of their city. It's not really possible to infer an exact location from that map.

The crowd-sourced Web site supercharge.info has more precise data for Superchargers that are known to be in permitting or under construction.

On the Tesla “Find Us” map page, for the “Coming Soon” Supercharger locations (planned locations that are not yet open) Tesla places a grey pin somewhere inside the city limits of the municipality where they plan to build a Supercharger.

That pin is not the exact location of the future Supercharger. Often it is miles away.

Once the new Supercharger is operational Tesla removes the grey pin and replaces it with a red pin in the actual location.

Looks like the site has good information, but there's no way to find something without going through thousands of listing one by one

Click on "map" and you can see a visual representation of the area you are trying to get info on. (But otherwise I agree, it would be nice if it had better search functions/filters).
Another option, go to the Data tab and limit the list by the region/country as you desire. On that page, scroll to the bottom and have it show 10,000 entries per page. Then just use a text search to find locations you're looking for.
