Just called Simi Valley building & Safety they confirmed it's a Tesla supercharging station being built. Tried to pull more info (how many stations, charging speeds) but the lady wasn't Keen to tell me much more.
Haha, had entered all the fields in supercharge.info and was about to press 'save' when I checked and saw that @emupilot had liked @Adel's comment at the top of this page. Refreshed the list and he had beaten me by about 1 minute!
Wow Just checked my thread......Awesome news
My drive in my Model S just got even better
Working 7 days a week, and the location is on my way home
Cant ask for more
From the plans and permit, it looks to be 12 V3 Superchargers with a future for 4 more. In addition, the permit / plans show one dual port and two single port Chargepoint level 2s.

I wish they installed a Chargepoint Fast charger. In Orange county where I have lived for several years, there are many of those and the fee is $5 per session. I used to charge my car (using a Chademo adapter) from 20-25% to 90% daily which would make $0.14-0.15 per kWh. Twice cheaper than at a Supercharger.
Drove by today and the white cabinets were in. Will snap a picture this weekend. Can't see ever using this as I charge at work with a L2 charger for free. But will be nice to have the option.

I am in the exact same boat as you but I figure we can never have too many superchargers. The interesting thing I am noticing is Tesla is starting to mass install their V3 chargers but installing less chargers. For comparison the next closest supercharger to Simi is thousand oaks and while both those sites have slower charge speeds they have more chargers (20 and 24).

Please get an updated photo posted. It sounds like they are moving along with the installation. Log into Facebook | Facebook EV Advocates of Ventura County
Here are some photos I took 6/13/20. I was counting 14 pedestals. I did notice labeling on the conduit with A and B labels leading me to believe that they will not be 250kW.

Terwyn82's photos show 16 Supercharger bases, 14 loose and two in the ground... it makes sense they'd install the wiring run and bases for the future expansion stalls as well at this time, even if they aren't installing the actual charger or pedestals yet.
