Best plan for this weekend would be to have a CHAdeMO to Supercharger adapter and use one of the 2 CHAdeMO chargers nearby:

Thank you! We get to NW IA often so at least there is finally progress and for me the location is great.

I have the same question. I've never followed a SC installation closely. How far away are we realistically to this being available?
Could be 3 weeks. Could be 3 months. Really depends on how quickly the public utility gets the transformer and meter in place and then how quickly Tesla tests and activates. And of course, there's always a risk that someone screws something up. One near my house had the bollards installed and uninstalled twice before they finally got it right the 3rd time. Totally maddening!

I haven't heard of a "new" V2 station going up in a long time.
Generally agree. The one I just mentioned in my previous post (Seattle-Ballard) is the only new v2 I've heard of recently and it opened in December. I talked to the guy in charge of the project and he said the garage's electrical couldn't support v3. I was honestly surprised that one wasn't an urban supercharger and I'm not sure why they didn't go that route, but no complaints about getting a faster charge rate of course!

Just posted by someone else in the South Dakota Tesla fb group: Sioux City supercharger update. My brother spoke to the electrician in the photo, he said the SC should be operational in the next few days. A Tesla rep will be at SC Thursday this week to do final inspection. Zoom into the picture to see the internal stuff on the chargers.

I wonder what the average time from bollards being up to "operational" is.
Just to chime in...
There are quite a few factors, maybe and maybe not related to each other. Each one could be given an 'average' time but they would be so varied that if you try to get an overall average it wouldn't mean much - because one of those can be max - another min and it just makes the final number all wrong. Recently, the local utility transformer installation was a good indication of 'soon'. But even that has been know to appear at the beginning of an installation.

Looking good

My experience has been that Superchargers are often on and can be used before they are formally commissioned or appear on one's touchscreen. I wouldn't count on it though, however, if someone happens to be in the area, it might be worth trying them out.

Barriers are gone. It’s quite possibly the Chargers are open
I visited and the lights were off on the chargers. I don’t hear the electrical equipment humming. Meter is not running.
