Add me to the list of interested parties! Family has a cabin in Pickstown, SD and right now it wants to route me from Omaha through Lincoln to get there!
Is this an official statement from HyVee or just a manager "hoping?" Very different things.
For those of us that have the misfortune of growing up in Sioux City, we know that unless Tesla is driving this hard from their end, the locals won’t be enthusiastic about pushing this to completion

I believe he was referring to local Tesla owners pushing Tesla to speed the installation. From posts above, it appears the authorities are just waiting for Tesla.
Tesla mobile service tech said fastest way is to have lots of people make a feature request. So, yes, locals do have a say in how fast this happens.

I was visiting my dad in northeast Nebraska and had an errand to run in Sioux City, so I decided to check on the Hy-Vee. There's earthmoving equipment in the back area near the employee parking and receiving docks. No idea if they are related to our highly anticipated Supercharging station construction or if that is just a convenient area to store them for a nearby project.
Here are the pictures, along with a satellite view of the area. I circled in red the area where the equipment is parked, and in green the area where I would put the Superchargers if I were in charge of this.

It looks as if it's a shorter walk to HyVee from the red section. Also it may be easier/cheaper to get the required power to that area.

Short walks are bad. They invite ice-ing. Much better to have the long walk.
