Supercharger - SmartCentres Markham Woodside

Hi folks,

I noticed some construction on the south side of Hwy 7 in Markham since early April in the Woodside Centre Mall. A friend in a local business told me they are installing Tesla Superchargers there. Today, I was in the area and drove into the mall to check it out and I can confirm there are 10 Tesla charging cabinets but I counted 9 concrete pads (maybe they are still working on the 10th one?). The chargers look different from the ones at Markville Mall, further to the east. They look like the ones in Sherway gardens the Urban Chargers. I don't see it listed as a future site on Tesla's site.

The location is great for those traveling on Hwy 404. Easy access and egress from the mall which is important. One good thing is when the Markville Mall chargers are ICE'd during the holiday shopping season, this location is an alternative site.

No porta potty spotted on site but there has been regular activity onsite each time I passed by.

This is a well served location.

There are many DC chargers within Markham as per plugshare.

Very high density of premium cars on the roads in Markham. Tesla's are common around.

If there are 10 of the white supercharger, cabinets, that means there will actually be 20 stalls.

That is hilarious. It is 5km if that from Markville Mall with 20 or so superchargers.

It will be needed though. Tons of Tesla in Markham. It is rare I fail to see one on errands.

concerning the OTHER Markham Supercharger, there seems to be yellow tape around the stalls there even though everything works. Does anyone know what's going on?

Great news! I live 2 minutes from Woodside Centre. I have the HPWC installed at home, and was thinking I could always drop by the Markville Supercharger if I needed a quick top up. This couldn't be any more convenient

20 stations, 10 on one side of the road 10 on the other. Full coverage including porta potty. Note the ground straps and the very large concrete tubes and round rebar. This SC is not going to be others. No boxes of cabinets or switch boxes. Solar roof ?

Now moving to serious things...
- where are the Supercharging pedestals? No boxes in sight
- so what you’re saying is that there will be Superchargers on both sides of the road if I understand correctly?

no pedestals or boxes for them .. no switch cabinets, just 10 supercharge cabinets - SC is on both sides of the entrance road
