They replaced the smashed charger and put bollards up.

They also took down the “meter box,” that can be seen in the back of the photo.

I don’t have any clue what the missing meter box means.

We were driving through Indiana last summer and my wife backed into a charger, literally ran over it. No bollards or anything to protect the charger or stop the car. $12,000 later the car and charger were good as new.

That is strange. The meter box in the foreground had previously been there, was removed, and is now reinstalled.

Does anybody know what that may indicate?

That's obviously a spot where a meter would plug in using those "knife"(?) contacts. Weird that it would be wide open like that - I'm hoping/assuming the exposed metal plugs are not live. Maybe they need a meter that goes up to 11.

I suppose one reason is because non-Tesla drivers don't know how to drive...

I agree that the police tape that has been on the chargers for awhile is not a great look for Tesla. Hopefully they can turn them on soon.

Aha, I figured this would be a stupid question. ..... So these are just something that measures the total electricity usage so Xcel knows how much to charge Tesla?
