Awesome. Winter trips between the Twin Cities and Mankato or the Worthington supercharger are about to get easier.

I suspect this location is replacing the announced Mankato, MN supercharger as it's only 15 miles away and still on US Hwy 169. Less ideal for people traveling on US 14 but not a significant detour.

Sometimes things pop up there first before they end up on TMC.

Possible, but the Mankato pin is still active and slated for next year. Extra Superchargers (no warning from the Find Us map) have been known to pop up, especially with known partnerships like Hy-Vee.

Mankato itself is becoming a growing market for Teslas, so I would be surprised if it doesn't get a Supercharger in the next year or two.

It's been around since summer of 2018. Keith, the original founder/developer of SC.info, set it up as part of his engagement with the Tesla community to get some help managing the project and provide another way for people to inform the site about new supercharger development. He was looking for some people to help with editing/maintaining the site databases as well as coding help with a bunch of stuff and general site feedback.

By the way, supercharge.info is the normal site address and forum.supercharge.info is the forum address.

Metro area boundaries tend to follow county lines, and St. Peter is in Nicollet County, as are parts of Mankato and most of North Mankato. If you are wondering why Ely is considered to be part of the Duluth metro area, that's why.

Drove by this location this afternoon. Piles of dirt are gone but chainlink fence around chargers is still in place.

I will be driving through St. Peter tonight - I don't see this location on the map when looking up Superchargers. Any idea if this location is available to use yet?

It's unlikely that it would go from fence-up to working in less than a week. There are inspections from the city and from Tesla that need to happen before it gets turned on. Also, it's worth knowing that typically superchargers will be functional for a few days before it ends up in the nav. The supercharger tends to be free of charge during that period of time.

My parents drove by today (Saturday 23 October 2021) and took this photo.

Swung by today and spotted a Tesla tech working on the site. He had the backs off of several of the pedestals. Didn’t stop to talk to him, but I assume this location should be live very shortly.
