Supercharger - Naples, FL

Drove by the Bayfront Supercharger site in Naples this afternoon. Construction crew was working on conduit. Didn't bother with photos because the site didn't look different from photos posted earlier.

Stopped by the site today. The electrician said the Supercharger should be finished next week. They were pulling the four mains.

Has anyone seen a transformer at this site? I'm guessing they would not pull the mains unless it was present.

I saw one sitting on the ground uninstalled in the open a couple of weeks ago. It was a green box about 4 feet on a side if that's what it was. In the Naples Daily News today was a story about the newly opened Tesla Showroom in the Waterside Shopping center in N. Naples. It said there were chargers for Tesla's adjacent to the store.

With the way those stalls are setup, does that make it anymore difficult to reach the vehicle to charge?

It looks to me like the stalls are setup like the majority of Superchargers in Florida. It requires you to back into the space.

You are correct. Backing in is necessary just like Ft Myers. Hope they aren't ICE'd. That area is packed during season.

You are correct. The pedestals appear to be centered between the parking lines. That will make it difficult to reach the charge port with the short SC cords. Hopefully they will shift the parking lines to correct this.

True. These spots are somewhat out of the way so hopefully will not be targeted by ICE

I have contacted the appropriate project manager at Tesla to convey this concern in the event they are unaware of the situation.

This is great having a supercharger downtown as opposed to being along the interstate. Sarasota and Tampa need this!
I'm sorry that my dentist gave me bad info at the beginning, but I am glad it was wrong!

Maybe the charging cords will be a bit longer at this location?

In Roland's photo above it looks like the far one is near the wall which would be correct for backing in (right side of space facing charger, left (driver) side facing away from charger). Others look like they are on the opposite/wrong side based on old paint. Hopefully the plan is to re-paint these properly.

They appear to have done little work over the holidays....plus, County needs to inspect and issue permit when finished. Thinking a few weeks to go....
