Spoke on the phone with the city manager today and he said they were about done with their part and weren't expecting Tesla engineers until the end of May. So they expect the SC to be operational some time in early June.

I second this question. Birmingham is only 250 miles away .. if there's something to see I'd be happy to go! But that look to me like its 15 miles off I-65, each way. 30 mile detour is not a typical thing for Tesla.

Excellent! This install moved a lot faster than I ever anticipated it would. Given that Sulphur Springs and Paris, TX are the two locations I drive in Texas which weren't covered by Supercharger routes (and thus one of my "excuses" for not getting a Tesla), well...I guess I'm running out of excuses!

This looks done except for final check by a Tesla employee (construction is contracted out). My bet is that this is open early in the week.
