@LeoJ mentioned that the crew from Bloomsburg, PA is moving to Tarrytown next. After some digging I found the permits for the Supercharger! Looks like it will be a big one, 12 stalls. A first for NY! Address is: 600 White Plains Road Tarrytown, NY 10591 Here are the permits: http://www.greenburghny.com/FCpdf/PB%2016-18%20Tesla%20Motors%20-%20Plans%20revised.pdf http://www.greenburghny.com/FCpdf/PB%2016-18%20Tesla%20Motors%20-%20Applications%20revised.pdf
It could not be better situated, just beside the northbound VFR reporting point for HPN. OK, possibly I spent too much time in that precise area while I was learning to fly. Regardless, this Supercharger is one I'll visit regularly.
Yes, more or less PA, NE, WY are all that is missing to travel NYC-SFO on I80, and that is the traditional summer driving route. We are missing only about eight supercharging installations to make that route an everyday practical choice. Tesla has been filling in I80 gaps along the way, but these three states are not trivial.
The ones they are missing are mostly in rural areas with few Teslas - which makes them the kind of locations that tend to pop up on Tesla maps fully completed before we hear anything about them. They could be under construction as we speak (or not.)

As usual, your calculations are illuminating. Think you you could provide figures over on the Charleston WV thread? Supercharger - Charleston, WV Thanks...
Well, it's not really calculations. It's just a bunch of clicking on dots and cones on Supercharge.info. But, with 2 glasses of Cabernet in me ...
That's awesome! Thank you @gutowskia Please keep the photos coming if possible! Always nice to see the progress pics.
Yes, just a few feet away is a QDOBA Mexican Eats. Sheraton hotel has a Starbucks. Stop & Shop grocery store is in the adjacent parking lot.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be working in the hood next month and will need a charge from time to time.
Thank you for the update gutowskia! And nice X, by the way... Please keep updates coming, I will be commuting to White Plains starting next week!
Thanks. I'll try to check on progress once per week. By the way, that's not my X. Another tesla owner was at the restaurant when I took the pics. Mine is the old-school model S P85.
