1506138211229821354157.jpg Concrete bases for the chargers and electrical boxes poured, big hole next to the transformer across the road (to drop a directional drilling machine in to make a hole for the new cable?).

    4 bays confirmed.
About half a mile from The near side of Taupo's dining scene.
Basic public toilets right next door, and 2 min walk to the lakeside, but no shelter, it's not somewhere to be in a cold southerly.

Was bored after work so went for a quick drive to check up on progress..

So 4 stands in place, 1 electrical cabinet in place and maybe wired, the other cabinet nowhere to be seen.
The hole across the road by the transformer has been filled back in.

I think it could be up and running by the end of next week. Maybe even this weekend if they install the other electrical box tomorrow.

Are New Zealanders unusually taller than most other people? Those signs in the 3rd photo... :)

I suppose they would be harder to vandalize (or remove) when they are that high off the ground

I can imagine a few people might want Tesla parking only signs for their homes... they should sell them in the Tesla stores.

I think, from memory, they are available online from EVannex Florida - I have one installed in my garage, bought after getting our MS 85 in Feb. 2015. A pleasant touch to a normally drab space, apart from the car, of course !

It must be soft ground there as it seems that the signs have sunk into the ground somewhat.
