I know we poor Californians LOL
But it actually is kind of misleading states and compare that way. There are about 7-10 times as many Teslas registered per person in California compared to the national average. Now multiply that with the number of total residents here and then add in that 9 out of 10 of the busiest freeways in the US are in California. Just a little perspective on how many more Teslas are driving in Califronia. California is the only state where I have ever seen a full Supercharger or had to wait (I have visited over 50 Superchargers across the country). If you do the numbers, the Supercharger density per Tesla car on the road, California certainly isn't in the top of the list.

It'd be interesting to see metrics about number of Tesla vehicles per region so we could do an accurate per capita metric, but I'm not sure if it's even possible to obtain that data publicly.
In any case, I wonder when it'll be added to supercharge.info. I didn't see an obvious way to submit new sites.

Interesting. I don't see this location on any maps covering SC locations. I may be missing it but I don't see it on the Tesla 2016 plans either.

Awesome! I had guessed they would put one in the mall here because it's really the only place that probably won't get ICE'd. On the weekends though this parking structure can get very crowded. I haven't been up to the 3rd floor though.
I live about 10ish minutes away from here so I can update on progress. Hopefully this one isn't too bad with people leaving for a long dinner at the mall while charging.

Just stop by about 30 minutes ago and here is some pics. There will be 10 charging stalls, 4 on the left side of the corner (totally assembled), 6 on the right side of the corner. It seems to me that this site should be available within the next 4 weeks or less. Ground marking will need to be adjusted. What do you all think about timing?

I would trust the map above showing the east garage since it was drawn by the same person who took the progress photos. Supercharge.info was likely guessing at the exact location.

It actually has been there for a while and I've been waiting for it. If you look at the difference between the 'Today' and the 2016 map, it's the bubble that pops up midway between San Diego and Cabazon.

I always thought putting them at the casino would be a win-win for both parties - i.e. they could valet, like in Vegas hotels, and insure no Tesla owner icing, plus use minimum parking slots lost to no purpose. This will be a harder in-and-out for everyone.
