Went by around 6pm. 8 pedestals in place, 2 Tesla cabinets, all wrapped up. There's also an unidentified white cabinet, still on a pallet. Behind the pedestals, a narrow, 6 foot deep trench has been dug, going to an unused utility pole by the street. The other end is concealed by the digger. Presumably they're going to remove the Blue Rhino chests, and set up the transformer there.

Since my last update Aug 8, I've been out of action. First, I was a DEFCON in Vegas. On the way back, I fell and broke my leg (6 weeks in a boot), AND tested positive for COVID a day later. There will be no updates on Templeton or elsewhere from me for a while.
We need a sad icon, to rate posts with.

Please get better soon. While you recover, they will move forward and build more superchargers for you.

I hope you recover quickly from both. Thanks for the updates and pictures you've provided thus far!

My wife drove me out to the site this afternoon. A transformer can be seen behind the rightmost pedestal, and the whit connection box about halfway along the row.. A cable has been extended up the utility pole, not not connected.

After a fast start, things have slowed down a lot.

Thanks for the update. Looks like most work by the contractor is done - possible sealcoating and re-striping and some landscaping. The rest is up to the utility to come and do.
We've seen this pattern many times; the Tesla HW gets installed in a timely manner, then there's weeks of waiting for the utility to get its ass in gear.

From a Facebook post earlier today, the utility is onsite working on the new pole and the primaries to supply the location. Photo was shared mid-day today, so not sure how fare they will get by EOD. I would think they should be able to complete the work today. Not sure what else will need to be completed before Tesla can come and commission (secondary wiring; meter; etc...)

Which FB is this?

Thanks again for the updates. I hear a slow walk to check for a meter and if it's energized does wonders to heal broken bones and to rebuild strength post COVID. ;) Hope the recovery is progressing. It does indeed look done - the contractor has returned to install the missing signs and sealcoat/stripe the spaces since the last photos on 8/20.

Looks ready to be turned on. The transformer is energized and has a meter. The pedestals are unwrapped, but unlit, and won't open my 3's charger door. There is what seems to be wires for an installed streetlight in the middle of the row.

Awaiting high priests from Tesla and NationalGrid to wave their respective dead chickens over the pedestals.
