Does anyone else find the new intercom button extremely hard to use? I've been there a few times after the renovation and have not been able to reach the button without opening my door.

Yeah it's a pain to get the right position to be able to reach it easily unless you have gorilla arms, and then I found the button itself to be very unresponsive needing multiple attempts to get it to work without any discernible feedback as to whether you're 'pushing' it or not.

I find that the button works reliably (and doesn't require too much pressure) as long as you press and hold it for about 2 seconds.

Should have posted this a while ago but last time I was @ The Star Supercharger they have a section of the car park near the exit cordoned off. You have to go around in a different direction to get to the exit and make a sharp RH turn to go out.
It's very easy to damage your RH rear wheel on the curbing as you turn to go out so just be careful.
Now what was the number of that wheel guy again?

The management will only tell you this when you are leaving; don't overstay your 1 hour. The SC is in the valet parking at the STAR and you will be charged for parking ($25) if you stay for more than 1 hour.
You would think a Casino would like you to stay as long as possible to spend your cash eating, drinking and at the tables but not so; you are expected to charge and then leave the valet parking station within the hour. Even if you score free parking at the tables or poker machines that doesn't count in the Valet parking zone.
I would also note the signage is confusing eg. 6 parking spaces have been reassigned as a roadway with tiny signs on the poles either side to stay not to park there. Parking driveways randomly end blindly in newly built walls or barriers. If you can find the way out there are 2 signs to see - all traffic must turn right plus turn left to exit followed by another sign that says valet parking exit only ?

Why spend all that money on a SC station and make it so user unfriendly ? I would have thought it was there to attract business.

It's there as that's where Tesla operated from when they first came to Oz. You are correct tho; it's time to shift it to somewhere more useful.

With all it's faults I use this Supercharger the most, generally when I go to the Blue Mountains and come back with a low charge but need the car soon after. Plus it makes it easier for regional and interstate Tesla owning visitors to charge up in town without having to schlep to St Leonards.

It's fine having it there and it is free for 60 mins but they do need to improve their signage; eg. how long you can stay in the carpark, where you can and cannot park and how much it costs etc. Plus how to get out (see photo for example of signaged quality).
They assumed I knew it all and that Tesla tells us the rules for each location !

I overstayed my allotted hour by 15 or so minutes and didn't get charged extra. Just quoted my number going in and out and no problem. I prefer the short drive to St Leonards (from my digs in Circular Quay) except there's nothing to do there while you wait.

FYI this supercharger is closing this coming Monday 19/6. I was notified when leaving there today. I rang St Leonard's and they confirmed. I asked what the story was given that even now St Leonards and The Star are often full, and the rate which they are selling cars implies it will quickly get much worse.

I was told that an extra 2-3 are going in at St Leonards and that an extra Sydney site is in the works (would not tell me where as it's very early days).

I got the impression from Ruby that they were still negotiating with the potential site owner. I do hope it comes soon though. A year ago I could charge at St Leonards or the star and be close to the only one. Now every time I go I see another X being delivered and full SC bays.
