Tesla added this one to their map last night. Thomasville is a very small town so 99% sure it has to be the Sheetz at 1810 Liberty Dr, Thomasville, NC 27360.

Tesla tends to throw these things up pretty quickly and earlier than the estimated quarter they give so if any of our friends in NC see anything please post here!

I bet you're right on it being at Sheetz. With Archdale, Thomasville, and Lexington that will have 3 locations packed fairly closely along that section of 85. It still surprises me that there's nothing planned for Salisbury.

There it is! Good to see another one on the highly traveled I-85 corridor. Now we just need a few more between Charlotte and Atlanta…

I love to see this SuC expansion in NC. They appear to be focused on the western side of the state and not the coast but maybe their preference to use 'partner locations' like Sheetz and Smithfield BBQ helps the deployment. I just noticed this on the Sheetz webpage:

Hilton properties (including Hampton Inn) are taking a proactive approach to providing EV charging. This is good. It only takes one of these dominoes to fall and soon all the chains will follow suit to avoid falling behind.

Its really amazing how much of a difference hotel charging makes to ease of traveling with an EV. I'm glad to see them realizing that the demand will be there for this.

Stopped by Friday evening and still nothing. Also this Sheetz seems heavily loitered with not a lot of parking from what I could see so I expect some ICEing here. But another SuC is needed to relieve the Archdale SuC right down the road which gets busy a lot so this one is certainly good to see in the works.

From the state Facebook group, "Was just at Sheetz in Thomasville off of 85 and as I’m leaving the parking lot I saw a fenced off construction area. Inside it was another supercharger installation. Hooray!"

I tried today and no luck but power is imminent. Everything looks done and ready to go. Will be much needed relief for the Archdale SuC. Also shockingly this site wasn’t ICEd at all around lunch time, even though it is a really busy area and there were cars everywhere.
