New supercharger listed in Tigard, OR. Target opening by end of 2017. Any idea of where this will be? Washington Square possibly? Has anyone found any permits of located the exact location of this one?
I was told that there was one opening in Vancouver but not Oregon. They need a supercharge in the Albany/Corvallis area not in Tigard. But my guess if it was true it will most likely be Washington Square Mall.
I agree that it's likely Washington Square mall, especially with the new Tesla storefront location going in. Here's the latest map from Tesla. I also saw that construction was started at the Fred Meyer in Vancouver, which is not listed on this map. So...everything should be taken with a grain of salt.
I just looked at the map as well. Looks like SP going in NW, SE and NE and most likely Downtown. This will help apartment dwellers that don't have access to home charging to get a Tesla. Love this! They still need a supercharger in the Corvallis area.
Washington Square seems like a disaster choice as hard as parking is to come by there on weekends (which is prime travel time). But who knows.
If it's a Sears it's likely going to be shutdown. So there can't be any long term plan. The Sears at Alderwood (in Lynnwood, WA) shutdown and now the entire parking lot is closed off as changes are made.
Yeah but that shutdown replaces a dying brand (thanks to that idiot CEO Lampert) with new restaurants and retail. It could be a nice improvement to Alderwood...at least I hope so! 201702087 - LYNNWOOD CITY OF - SEPA Administration
There's a 10 stall urban supercharger under construction now near the destination chargers at Washington Square.
Great thanks for the update. Really hope they make them protected parking spots and not the usual general parking. Such a busy garage already.
That address is defniitely in some building or more likely parking garage near Sears: Google Maps Regardless of Sears' health, the mall is a great place to spend charging time in. And it's not directly off I-5, so the use rate will likely be a little lighter than the Vancouver one, which is very close to I-5.
Just thought I would add, it's in the parking garage near the Tesla store and near where Tesla already charges their test drive cars, not near Sears.
The one HUGE disappointment I have with this location is after they changed spots in the mall, they no longer carry merchandise inventory. I used to go out of my way to stop here and by a T-Shirt or something, but now I have no reason to go inside the store :-(
