@BlueShift

Is it common for them to have to clear UFOs in New Mexico.? Are they just scattered around the area?

The address given 2201 F G AMIN ST is the address of a Holiday Inn Express.

Thanks for finding it.
Man . . . . looking at that area on google street view . . . . i wouldn't wana have to drive any where near that area on a lost bet.
:p
litterally, from there to van horn TX supercharger, you'd have to low speed limp in, if you had a 75D MX. It's like the days of the calistoga wagons. From Tuscon AZ, you'd only be able to make it in a 100D MS.
.

The south west parking lot near the dumpsters appears to have enough room for 8 stalls (pedestals) and associated equipment.
.......I'm surely staying at a Holiday Inn Express with superchargers when I travel. It makes sense for all Tesla travelers to support those who support us. BTW: charge your Tesla while checking in; and again while eating breakfast in the morning, leaving the charging stalls vacant for those traveling through while we sleep!

That's great, because White Sands National Monument near Las Cruces is one of the greatest places on the planet.

El Paso, TX is already open for travel to Van Horn, TX.
Truth Or Consequences, NM should open up the Albuquerque, NM to El Paso, TX route (at least excluding winter challenges).

For Tuscon, AZ there's Deming, NM and Wilcox, AZ planned.

Truth or Consequences, NM

Interstates: I-25
US Numbered Highways (<=5mi): None

I-25
From: Start (I-10, Las Cruces, NM) - 80.6
To: Albuquerque, NM - 149 miles
Diversion: 0.6
To: Santa Fe, NM - 200 miles

To: Ardmore, OK (I-25,US-380,TX-137,US-62,US-82,local,TX/OK-79,US-70) - 682 miles
To: Denton, TX (I-25,US-380,TX-79,TX-114,US-380 ) - 671 miles
To: Sweetwater, TX (I-25,US-380,US-84,I-20 ) - 484 miles
To: El Paso, TX (I-25,I-10 ) - 109 miles
To: Casa Grande, AZ (I-25,NM-26,US-180,I-10 ) - 367 miles

To: Holbrook, AZ (I-25,US-60,US-191,US-180 ) - 309 miles
To: Gallup, NM (I-25,NM-6,I-40 ) - 268 miles

Splits Albuquerque, NM to El Paso, TX with about 149/150 miles to/from Albquerque, NM.

Once open I-25 will have Superchargers 150 miles or fewer apart as far as Cheyenne, WY. (Wheatland, WY and Casper, WY said to be coming later this year.)

Just talked to the building inspector in TorC, and he's confirmed the project is nearly finished, and they expect to do the electrical inspection next week, so I suspect it'll be opening up in July! He says it is situated in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn:

We talked about having a Tesla Owners Club of New Mexico meetup in T or C, we'd all meet at some local restaurant, maybe meet the mayor, etc. Gonna look into that.

Here it is.... the rumors were true. As far as I can tell they just need to flip the switch. The transformer is definitely energized. Yes, I did try to charge. No, it didn't work. :(

Finally got to post the first picture of a new Supercharger :).... now I just need to figure out how I'm gonna get home :eek:....
Thanks for making the trip and for the photo!

I guess you could just hang around and be first to charge...

I heard from the Mayor of Truth or Consequences. Interesting thing about Tesla Supercharger towns: Socorro's mayor, and now I find out Truth or Consequences' mayor, both have sons who own Teslas. So they're fans. We gotta get Tesla cars for sons of the mayors of Albuquerque and Santa Fe (who knows, maybe they already have 'em too!).

We're gonna try to schedule a Tesla event in T or C in the next couple months. May involve a side trip to the Spaceport USA site. Stay tuned.
