Ok. Drove by today.

Looks like some green transformers are in place.

I spoke to a nice Workman (from my hometown of NOLA, nice coincidence).

He said all that’s left is go chArge it up. He motioned as if that’s not in his control. (Maybe TEP?)

He said it’ll be done by 5/1. I’m guessing sooner!

Needs to get power from the local utility and then get commissioned (tested and turned on) by a Tesla tech.

Either one of those can cause a weeks long delay, but here's hoping.

I stopped by today... it looks ready to go! I tried it just for fun and no joules for me.

Tesla is having an event at La Encantada tomorrow and Saturday. I’m guessing they’ll want to have it operational by then so they can show it off to people taking test drives and to answer the inevitable question, “But where can I charge it?”

Well, I was wrong; it’s still not open.

Excellent news.

Saw the Tesla worked there tonight.

He said he Will be burning the midnight oil making sure it’s up and running by late late tonight.

He needs to install a few firmware updates tonight and making sure it all works.


He said it’ll definitely be working tomorrow!!

I’ll be there first thing tomorrow morning.


(He said Tesla told him to make sure it’s activated ASAP because of the La Encantada event this weekend)
