Driving thru Tupelo saw a supercharger station that appears to be in final stages of completion. North end of the mall at intersection of 45 and I22 by the Sears. 8 stalls with transformers or at least boxes up on the hill above. Fenced off now but looks about ready to open!! Took some pics but have to figure out how to downsize
Looks like a pretty decent location. Diversion is about 2 1/2 miles. Malls can have ICEing problems, but if it's by Sears it should be OK.

A bunch of the "direct" connections pass locations with Superchargers, but with a significant diversion.
Dropped by today while out on a ride. The fence is down and looks like everything is ready. No power on at the meter and all the chargers only had a few of the anti-tamper screws installed. I don't think the stalls were labeled either.
Fellow motorcycle rider! I had a Vstrom, great bike! Will the charger be open by next week do you think? I am headed to Memphis and would love to not have to hypermile the whole way. Thanks!
Hard to tell with Tesla time.... The Memphis Supercharger was like that for I think 3 weeks before it was turned on. Everything looked ready to go if the magic Tesla guy comes and turns it on.....
This is really good news for those of us who drive between Memphis and Destin, FL. The best route is through Tupelo, then down 45 through meridian to mobile. A location south of the 22/45 interchange would have been better, but this works.
Actually they picked the best available spot. There is plenty of food and rest room options where they put it. Not so much south of Hwy 78.
