Supercharger - Vallejo, CA - 2155 Solano Avenue (LIVE 8 Sep 2022, 20 V3 stalls)

A second Vallejo site just popped up on the map as Q2 2022. Found this permit applied in 2021 but issued yesterday. This will be in the Cardenas Market parking lot. With the 14th street address it will likely be along 14th by Harbor Freight Tools. No word on number of stalls but 12 V3 sounds about right for this location. Guessing they will use the main cross street for the name.

Anyone want to check this out? There is an inspection flag under status on the permit now that wasnt there before. Maybe so digging has started?

Looks like construction of the Supercharger is underway concurrently with construction of the new Jack Anthony's 7 Flags Car Wash. See below image of location and a photo of the main building under construction.

Unfortunately, I missed taking a picture of the electrical conduits and installed bases on north side of the building. I was leaving the location and noticed it on the way out.

I think the bases you are talking about are for vacuum stations or something else car wash related. They do not look like Tesla pedestals.

The pinned location on Supercharger.info was fenced out, but likely used as storage for the car wash construction.

Yes, that was all EPI (Extruded Plastics Inc) bundles, likely siding for the car wash.

After cruising the whole center, likely site for the supercharger is right along I80, didn't notice any ground markings but wasn't really looking. Lots of unused parking (trucks parked there in photos), and there is a handy on ramp to I80 West right there. Not as easy to get to I80 East since the exit there is right turn only and coming off I80 West is blocked off with no left turn (but I can see people making it). Still is empty and unused and visible from the Interstate. And the Fourteenth Street address on the permit is the address on file for that APN even though all the businesses iin the center use Solano Ave for their addresses.

That is a good location. Especially near an existing transformer.

It is easier to use Georgia Street exit to access the Solano 80 Shopping center for WB & EB I-80. Return to I-80 by using Solano Ave./Spring Road onramp. The added bonus: all right turns.

Drove by picking up a trailer at U-haul across the street. Not much has changed from 2/22, even to the car wash. I go back to drop off tomorrow and I will actually swing through the parking lot to see if I can pick up on anything new.

My thoughts relating to this and Napa #3 with the same predicted quarter to open is that the same contractor will do both and they are waiting to start until they get a permit issued for Napa #3 since that one is approved but not issued. Waiting on a separate permit for encroachment relating to traffic control and tunneling under a part of the road or sidewalk.

Some pavement markings near the transformer and down a row of unused parking spaces with overhead lights. Will have to see if this is where it actually end up.

A post in a local Facebook group has photos of construction in progress and equipment on site. They show at least 12 precast pedestal bases and 4 V3 charger cabinets, so guessing 12-16 V3 stalls. Asking for permission to repost photos here.

Nice pictures! Looks like there are charger cabinets and pedestals for 20 v3 stalls. There's a lot of space between the two rows of stalls.

I'll defer to others on the question of the Megapack.

Damn, whats going on in Central and Northern California with people cutting cables, thats so infuriating.
