Several of the Supercharger locations under construction that I'm monitoring seem to get this close and then just sit ... what are they waiting on? The city or utility provider to flip a switch? Does it really take weeks for that to happen?
Likely the sites aren't all stopped at the same stage of completion even though from an outsider's perspective It might seem like they are. Here's a list of things they might be waiting for: the electrical subcontractor to come out and run the wiring from the cabinets to the stalls and make the necessary connections; city inspectors to sign off on the work; repairs/corrections for things that resulted in a failed inspection; delivery of the utility transformer; utility crew to come make the necessary terminations to set up service; meter release; Tesla crews to come out and test the site; repairs/corrections by the GC/Electrical contractor and/or replacement hardware to address any problems Tesla found; Tesla re-testing after repairs/fixes. Of course, for most of the things I listed, you also have to include scheduling and/or paperwork delays at each step. Etc.

The supercharger at Lowell is now up and running after being repaired if that helps.

It's certainly still an option, but this is my current route plan. It's about 16.5 hours. If Van Buren was open we'd shift the Ozark stop to there and probably save 15 minutes in Tulsa.

This takes into account the forecast temperature and wind along the route. We also usually get slightly better than ABRP numbers.

I did that drive from Ozark to Limon back in September without any issue. I overnighted at the supercharger hotel in Salina.

The casino in Catoosa had a temperature checkpoint, but if you tell them you are just using the supercharger, they will wave you through without the indignity. If you do that though, it would be expected that you don't enter the casino so maybe stop for food and bathroom beforehand.

I can’t wait for this one to open so I can drive my MY to Fayetteville to see my daughter at school. As is I have to take my ICE vehicle so I do not turn my 4.5 hour drive into a 7.5 hour drive. Using the Tesla route it takes me from Dallas to OKC first.

I don't think you will enjoy driving straight from Van Buren to McKinney which is ~250ish miles. I've done Tulsa to Dallas, which is about the same distance, several times and it almost always has me nervous. With a head wind (often windy in Oklahoma) and cold weather it is a nail biter.
The better option is to stop in Rover Taxi in McAlester, which is about half way from McKinney to Fayetteville, and charge up there. You will get about 45kw at their chargers via their supplied CHAdeMO adapters so plan on taking 45-60 minutes to charge there but that will only make it a 5.5 hour drive for you.

That’s the plan. Charge at Rover, and then again in Van Buren. To make the round trip from Fayetteville to Van Buren we will need to do that since it would be a stretch to get to Lowell from Rover. We know the new location well, it is where we usually stop on the trip now.

Ozark isn't super convenient but it is an option for now. 22 miles off your path one way so it would add 44 miles to your drive. Easy interstate driving though.

Any chance anyone can circle back on this supercharge? I have a pending job offer that will require us to take the I-40 in the next 6-8 weeks. I imagine it will be live by then but it would be great to know. Otherwise that stretch of 224 miles (from Oklahoma to Ozark) is cutting it a little closer than I would prefer.
