That's going to make a lot of people very happy!

Anything verifiable so that supercharge.info can add it?

There aren't alot of possible locations - I would bet on either the Love's Travel Stop or the Pilot Travel Center.

Best guess as to if this will be open by 1/15 if the birdie is in fact correct? This could solve a huge dilemma for me!!!

Disappointing but understandable, sometimes these things are told in confidence!

Interesting to note this will be the most isolated SC in the USA (by far!) ... so the nearby ones must be close as well?

Yeah, I'm going to predict that unless another one opens up, the ribbon cutting ceremony here is going to be pretty sparsely attended by only the brave and foolhardy. :)

So how might one get between Van Horn and Junction?

    1. Van Horn to Ozona is 226 miles...so too far

    2. Ft. Stockton to Junction is 199 miles...so too far

Does this mean there are going to have to be two SpCs between Van Horn and Junction ?????

There seem to be rumors of Las Cruces, NM. That would be within range.

You don't, yet. But I'd guess that Socorro and/or Lordsburg+Tucson will have to appear around the same time. It's all futures.

Yes, Ozona and Ft. Stockton. Especially with the 75mph speed limit and traffic going at least 80.

These are the Rated Mile usage estimates I got from EVTripPlanner for my Classic S60 (speed multiplier 1, no wind):

Between Junction and Ozona (92 miles)
    112 RM westbound
    103 RM eastbound
Between Ozona and Ft. Stockton (108 miles)
    129 RM in either direction,
Between Ft. Stockton and Van Horn (120 miles)
    137 RM westbound
    121 RM eastbound
Between Van Horn and El Paso (121 miles)
    124 RM westbound
    126 RM eastbound
