That is one strange choice based on parking alone...
There is a Wawa right down the road....

I was hoping they'd go with Port Charlotte to evenly split the Sarasota and north Fort Myers chargers, but maybe they do this one and one in Port Charlotte (or Punta, where 17 takes off) later.

I’m wondering if it will be in the vacant space next door—where the unused fuel pumps are (next to Shell). Brewburgers just revamped their restaurant and added outdoor seating so the space next door seems like a logical spot for the chargers to go.

I will be driving to Miami on I-75 tomorrow. I am glad that you checked it because I was going to pass by tomorrow. I will take a look at the Naples one instead.

One of our club members located a Tesla information inquiry with Sarasota County that supports Marco's initial posting.

So far we haven't located a permit application.

Not quite. Permit hasn't been issued, the application is still being reviewed. That could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

Agreed, there is no room for chargers in the Brewburgers parking lot and any chargers there would be perpetually iced.

Looks like they still working through permitting issues between the county and contractor (as per county database). No equipment deliveries on site at this time. Went by this morning. Guess it won't be done in the 1Q

Tesla now lists this as 2022. Not sure what changed but it’s not looking like it will happen this year
