Any update on this one. Morgantown to Wythville is out of reach without a painfully slow hour or two stop in Flatwoods at tge Days Inn.

Any update on this one. Morgantown to Wythville is out of reach without a painfully slow hour or two stop in Flatwoods at the Days Inn.

Just detour to Charleston and charge for 10-15 minutes and you only spend 45 minutes longer than a direct Sutton to Beckley drive. That seems 0:15 hrs to 1:15 hrs quicker than sitting on a slow charger in Flatwoods for 1-2 hrs.

Drove up into the mountains yesterday and stopped by this site for Dino juice and a couple of pics.

Progress is being made but still probably 6-8 weeks until it opens. Probably 3 more weeks of construction plus whatever delays from getting power turned on and commissioned by Tesla.

The 4 Supercharger cabinets & the power distribution cabinets are in place.

Conduit for the stalls but no concrete bases yet.

7 back-in stalls + 1 pull-in next to the Sheetz sign.

Notice the auto transformers (small gray boxes) are already in. At least it won't be held up for them!

I stopped by the Weston Sheetz today and took some photos. I also chatted with a couple guys who looked like they were wrapping up a day's work. One guy said that they've had several folks stop by and ask about the construction. And no - they wouldn't give out any information about completion. They did say it all depends on Tesla.

I just nabbed what appears to be the virgin charge. Was going to stay in Triadelphia but coudn't pass up this opportunity so I pushed on and drove through the night

I-79 max separation is now 103 miles. It's also only 102 miles to Charleston, WV, so travel I-64 to I-79 is covered.
Now need Beckley, WV to split the 186 miles from Wytheville, VA and Weston, WV.
