And they are already very busy (full or close to much of the time). I think the Woburn interchange still makes sense given density of traffic - an exit N/S/E/W is harder to get to for everyone given the massive traffic. Agree Burlington would also make sense, but it seems nothing is pending for either area right now.
There isn't much on the North-West corridor from Boston - Route 3, I-93, north of I-90/95 interchange all the way to Lynnfield, I-495 north all the way from Hudson to NH border. Will be great if they build one in any of these - Burlington, Woburn, Chelmsford, Lowell or Andover keeping in mind the access from highways.

They have TONS of data about who drives where on commutes, and who is passing through on travel. They probably have a list of sites they're working to get permits for.

But you've got to be careful about confirmation bias: for some places, the route I use when passing through is based upon where the chargers are.

but they know that. they have all of your telemetry and trip data. they could differentiate between your diversions for charging and a drive that didn't require a change in path.

Nice! Note that the address has also changed to 101 Commerce Way, at a Target store. Should we change the location of the pin, or even get a new one? (Green pin is the new location)

I would definitely recommend moving the pin. The original site has finished development, and this public hearing as much as confirms the original site is dead and they are looking at Target as a better location.

This location is a lot easier for on/off from 93. The old location was only easy from one direction of 128. Makes more sense to me, and not nearly as busy up there.

Yes - this is much better for highway access. There's a dedicated flyover to/from 93, so it's about as close as it can be. Amenities are not great - Target + small strip mall (Starbucks, Firehouse subs, Chipotle across the street), but all in all a better location than the original.

I drive up there for lunch some times, there's a Chiptotle, Firehouse subs, Starbucks, and Super Target. If it's SCV3 you don't have long enough for sit down restaurants anyway :)

Wow. Five full pages of hoops and obstacles and hindrances. It’s amazing anything ever gets built or developed. I realize this is the game that has to be played, but it would be interesting to find out how many times Tesla throws up their hands and just moves on.

It looks like the Woburn Planning Board is run by Tina Cassidy (she is mentioned in those docs). I'm going to email her my support of this, if anybody else wants to do the same, her email is: [email protected] (I found it publicly on the Woburn's Gov't website, so anybody can use it)
