Supercharger - Yamachiche, QC

If we follow the lead, 2 weeks from Aug 19th is around the corner. Construction should start soon I assume.

At least we know that Yamachiche (Porte de la mauricie) will be the only one SC in Quebec built until year end. We've also heard that IGA Extra Cap-de-la-madeleine has entered into a deal with Tesla. That's maybe for 2019+ but definitely not for 2018.

Why do you say that? There are others listed for 2018

The Tesla map is not accurate anymore as Tesla is scaling back expeditures to turn to profit or cash flow positive in 2H 2018.

Seattle has been on the map since at least 2014. And the entire state of North Dakota was on the map as far back as 2015 I think.

So that means it's Tesla time, but that not a guarantee that there won't be any more SC this year. And they could be cash flow positive with the m3 sales soon. We haven't heard of anything bad recently about further delays and such. I'm keeping faith!

Just asked a PlugShare user who checked in at La Porte de la Mauricie earlier today and I was told there was nothing that looked anything like Supercharger construction

I stopped to charge at the Circuit Électrique ChaDeMo yesterday September 13, no signs of any work so far

Flags are now up indicating where or where not it's safe to dig. However, no real work has started. There's no construction or supercharger equipment on site.

How?

Direct from Tesla. Yamachiche is the only remaining SC site in Quebec that will be completed in 2018. Other peripheral SC will be built to complete some routes like Brockville, Maritimes (from Quebec). SC in Quebec are under utilized unlike other areas. Likely, destination charging is the favorite for Quebecers.
