I mean my octopus is 3 times cheaper at night than the octopus day rate. I would have thought Tesla’s night rate to be considerably cheaper than their day rate.My Octopus is 6.4x cheaper if 48pp kW SUC rate.
yes. but it is also like 10 time slowerMy octopus is 3 times cheaper at night.
Agreed. My original point was I’m surprised the off-peak rate is not hugely different from the day rate.yes. but it is also like 10 time slower
Is that 50Kw at lidl?I charged at a Lidl at 3PM recently and that was cheaper than the Tesla off-peak rate. Nearly as fast as the Tebay SC that Ihad to use later the same day too.
Yeah, it was a PodPoint 50kWh charger that delivered at 48kWh. I took 25kWh from it at 40p per kWh. Later that day I had to charge at a very busy Tebay. That never went higher than about 66kWh and I was charged 67p per kWh.Is that 50Kw at lidl?
At times at Tesco I have had to put up with the free 11Kw
I'm gonna be that guy and say I've got free supercharging on my '17 Model X. It's going to take some time to adjust to paying for superchargers when I get my Model Y PerformanceWhat do people recall as the cheapest they have ever paid, 21p Kw for me. Clearly free being best! Them were the days!

There's also the fixed cost of the equipment and the land to take care of.Agreed. My original point was I’m surprised the off-peak rate is not hugely different from the day rate.
My only gripe with pod point is that they call the 50Kw chargers rapid, which is a 3rd of the speed of the eon one at a starbucks near me. Luckily that one is not as popular yet, they have hidden it well.Yeah, it was a PodPoint 50kWh charger that delivered at 48kWh. I took 25kWh from it at 40p per kWh. I think it's a deal with the likes of Lidl and Tesco, since they have 7 and 11Kw free chargers at the same locations.Fair. ChargePoint chargers 44kW are still 26p. I’m not sure how they manage that still.
I’d like to see a special rate for those that can’t charge at home. After rush hour rate so they get it cheaper.
They're on the screen in your car ... online.Am I right in thinking that Tesla don't make these costs (day or overnight) available online anywhere?
