Interesting also that it's another Mirvac shopping centre.
Already got superchargers at three Mirvac centres - Broadway, Toombul, Moonee Ponds.

And they've got a few others that vaguely fit the bill of some of the other dots on the Tesla map
Sydney East - East Village, though it already hosts 3 Chargefox 50/350kW units and is only 3km from Broadway
Sydney Central - Rhodes Waterside
Brisbane West - Orion Springfield

Noticed they’ve got some construction equipment and tarp over the 3 4 parking spots next to the existing Richmond VIC 4 superchargers.

Wonder if they’re adding 3 4 additional superchargers.

3 spaces would align with a typical V3 stall count (which are 3 or 6 stalls in Australia) - although it'd be unusual to have a mix of V2 and V3 at such a small site. Not unheard of, however.

Would be the first expansion in Aus. Certainly a mix of V2 and V3 at some US sites.
More likely if there is also some work on the opposite wall where all the electrical boxes are.

Richmond is the Australian site that's most often a full house (in non-lockdown times!), so expanding it wouldn't be too surprising.

Just a followup from me on Frankston/Baxter.
I did another drive around of Baxter and there's no sign of the chargers anywhere.
Even took a trip to the service centres and there is no sign of anything there.

Someone want to send those TOCA detectives down here?

On looking at the pics a tarp and a lift crane would suggest doing something to the building itself..

If it was a concrete cutter and digger it would be more interesting.

And Yass Council has supported a Tesla site

Park and Ride seems to refer to a council carpark in Lead St, which is only a block away from the previously suggested spot (with existing NRMA site) and only a block from the main cluster of shops on Comur St.

Interestingly enough, none of the four known imminent locations (Taree, Kirrawee, Blaxland and Yass) are listed on Tesla's "coming soon" map.

Not sure if they are necessarily more imminent.
Remember the Taree docs said July 2022.

Thinks its more we are just seeing these sites earlier as Tesla is seeking to use council land.

For private sites it's not clear if any council approval is needed, it's just a big powerpoint.

Usually any change of use of land and change in vehicle movements involves a DA.

I looked at Kirrawee for example and couldn't find a DA. Plenty of recent DAs for fitouts of individual tenancies, but nothing for the carpark.

Of course Just noting that it's a particularly high number of "unmapped" locations at the moment.

Any news on when the other Melbourne superchargers will be built? Are the chargers still being built during the never ending lockdown?
