More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Just made another friend and potential new competitor.
This trip sounds EPIC.
West coast up to Barrow, Alaska then across Canada to Newfoundland then down the east coast, circumnavigating the US.
They are planning to be on the road for six months and are happy to be back in supercharger territory as Canada was pretty much all Plugshare.
I told them about the contest and hope they join up eventually.

I hope you told them to keep a good log of visit dates so that when they dump 500 Superchargers on us we don't have to bug them for the dates.:)

I gave them @Darren S's contact info :p

I love it, @Half Dollar Bill. Hmmm, don't forget that I'm staying at your B&B next month. Maybe save up gems like this until after we leave so I can't take some towels or bathrobes. ;)

Here's the quote from my post:

"The sun had just gone down and the temps were perfect for driving with no heat or a/c and of course I had the suspension low and all the other typical hypermiling techniques."

I guess I could see how you misunderstood that if you took it absolutely literally :)

That’s right. Honestly I wish there was a way we could define how to take each individuals comments whether we should assume they’ve done something or not. As if we already knew them and/or their sarcasm. But sadly with text is just black and white so we can’t assume.

700 miles today but just one new-to-me Supercharger in Bay City, MI.

Tomorrow is the UP over to Escanaba for an overnight charge at the destination chargers there. Ouch on the hotel costs. Turns out the UP state fair is in Escanaba and starts Friday. They are charging basically double the normal rate for rooms. $400 for two rooms with taxes. I took two of the three available time when I booked.

Superchargers between San Jose and Los Angeles

On a couple of trips from Los Angeles to San Jose, we've tried quite a few Superchargers along I-5 and 101.
  • Santa Clarita- little off the freeway, but good location, nice shopping mall and a couple of restaurants. Plenty of stalls and good charge speed.
  • Tejon- Great access near the freeway. Excellent location just before the climb onto the Grapevine mountain pass. Many stalls, mostly covered. Multiple shops and restaurants but too spread out. Fast charge. (see pictures)
  • Bakersfield- No very exciting. Although fast charger, the location is adjacent to a gas station with no roof cover- and nothing around, only one iHope restaurant. (See picture)
  • Kettelman Station- THIS IS THE BEST. This is a Tesla-owned, dedicated supercharger site with plenty of charge stalls, all under a solar panel roof. The site also has free compressed air station and some window washing squeegees available. Inside the nice structure next to the charger area you can find clean restrooms, vending machines and places to seat in an air conditioned environment. In addition there is a coffee bar manned (well, woman'ed) by a pleasant and smiling a Tesla person. The charging is fast, but you don't want to leave so soon...... I concur with other users comments: "nearly perfect". (see pictures)
  • Gilroy- Located on the side of a shopping mall parking area, off the 101. Fast and easy but a long walk to get to restrooms or restaurants.
  • Fremont, at the Tesla factory (*)- Located in front of Tesla's visitor's center. Very busy. I've just read today here, that Tesla will soon “Install new 24 super chargers behind South Paint structure". (see picture)
  • Vantana, Big Sur- Strategically located in the middle of nowhere, half way on the beautiful route-1 Big Sur. Seems to be brand new with only one (expensive, but worth it!) restaurant near by. Pleasant surprise! (see picture)

(*) and yes, we visited the Fremont manufacturing plant- amazing, great experience, fantastic automated factory, the best I've ever seen.
