Visited the new superchargers on Long Island today, and the others I had not been to.

Copiague, Water Mill, Montauk, Riverhead, NY.

I confess I know zilch, zip, nada about how things in the technological world operate. Too often they are like a parlor trick.

So, awhile back, the overworked and underpaid Flyer developed a link for the 3.0 version of the Tableau charts and graphs that I could access from my Apple-type phone. I even figured out how to keep a button on the phone to go directly to the site. Lo! and behold! Of late when I try to access this, I get a delightful message:

This page no longer
exists. Find
something new in the
gallery or authors.
I then get three pictures in circles of a gorilla, Nessie, and Elvis.

I am unclear of the relationship between the message and the pictures.

I presume that I should just delete this button and get on with my life?

That's a long haul out to Montauk. I've attempted that drive on 3 occasions and always had to turn back because I was running out of time or daylight. I guess next time I will have to soldier on regardless :)

7 hours from my house to Copiague, Water Mill, Montauk, Riverhead, and then home - with enough charging at Montauk to get to Riverhead, and enough at Riverhead to get home. About 300 miles. A little traffic around the Hamptons.

The extra 10 miles round-trip from the supercharger to the lighthouse is no big deal since you are almost there. I've seen the lighthouse many times from land and sea.

Long Island is long. I took the ferry from the east side across to Connecticut rather than backtracking across the entire island.

There are two: Orient Point to New London, and Port Jefferson to Bridgeport.

Port Jefferson is in the middle of the Island, while Orient Point out out at the eastern end (north fork). They are both about the same driving distance from Montauk lighthouse or supercharger - so which one you take depends on where in CT you want to end up or start from.

Almost always faster to drive Montauk/Bridgeport, a toss-up Montauk/New London. Ferry is a lot nicer then the drive.

I did Orient Point to New London. Nice trip.

I dashed out before the snowstorm got here and bagged a First Visit at Millstone, NJ (not on Nav yet). It didn't seem to be charging very fast (about 50kW) - I started at about 59% with a warm battery - so maybe it hasn't been fully tuned up yet.

Photos not uploading properly. [Edit - never mind - I think the site had logged me out before I got the photos done.]

Thank you, Tes.

I suppose that I will have to use the links from my phone.

Cheers!

Add to my continued frustration with all things technological.

I tried twice to access the handy links provided by tes-s, and my phone returned the following:

"Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found."

So, how does one find said server?

:)
