More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Nice to hear that your wife has also caught the bug :)

I wouldn't say she has 'caught' the bug as she normally flies to the destination events and I drive to them or pick her up at the airport like she's done for Seattle, Austin, New Orleans, Boston, etc. Since this was "just" a weekend trip she rode along. I think she missed seeing some of Canada when I was up there last week although she didn't mind missing the winter storms.

But when a supercharger is 500 ft from THE token LL Bean store, that is even open 24x7, and can stop by and see a Lighthouse and the possibility of seeing a real Moose then I think she didn't mind hitching a ride to those spots.

This is Nubble Lighthouse in quaint and picturesque York, ME

So, is Hadley, MA open as of last Tuesday (04/17)? I am sad that I missed this as I was in Hooksett, Leominster, Auburn, and Manchester and could have easily taken a small detour up to Hadley.

I didn't see it as an available location on PlugShare or EV Trip Planner on Friday (04/20) and it still doesn't show up on the Nav map on the car (a pic from today is attached) but Supercharge.info shows it open as of last Tuesday but that wasn't known perhaps until Saturday when I was already underway on my trip.

I will eventually need to get up that way again for some NYC, CT, RI, and MA locations but I wasn't even aware it was available. I guess it is better than just missing out on one that is 3,000 miles away rather than 500 miles away. Bugger anyway.

That's why I always look at the threads of nearby superchargers under construction as I drive through an area. Had you seen the following post, you would have known it was at least worth the small detour to check it out:

Supercharger - Hadley Mass (I-91)

Except, I was already watching that thread as of a few months ago. I have tons of these 'watch' notifications for any location with a permit or construction cone. There was just no update of a confirmed opening until Saturday afternoon which is probably when it was listed on Supercharge.info with Tuesday's date. At this time, I was already heading from Boston up to Bangor and knew what the route was and there was zero wiggle room to head to Permit places to see if they were active yet (like I did in Orlando, Miami, and somewhere near Phoenix).

This was another one of those notification issues that Bighorn mentioned as I have no email updates since Feb 12 on that thread so I didn't see a need to manually check every single forum thread on all permit and construction locations in near the route. I see there was a post on Tuesday saying someone posted a photo that it was working but that is probably in that phantom timeframe where it works but hasn't yet been certified or approved or released to the Public yet.

Saturday afternoon was also when the Server was down so it was not an ideal time to take a trip with the car. I think I was over my cell plan data usage so my Internet use was being throttled and was turtle slow and the car's browser was barely faster sometimes.

I'd be interested if someone could test it and see if it is actually working as I suspect it might not work until it is listed on Tesla's site and Nav screen.

Also, as you noted earlier, the Mrs. was with me so getting home at 1:30 am Monday was much better than 3:00 am whereas if I had been solo on this trip then that is all more or less the same "middle of the night" to me. I still need to hit the end of Long Island and I see Rhode Island and some other locations will be built this Summer so I'll get back there at some point. Again, it is much better than missing one on the opposite end of the US.

Thanks @JSergeant !

I think you missed that I grabbed the easy fruit in Sunnyvale and Cupertino...but looks like there are a few more in the LA Area since the last update, so that helps greatly, much appreciated.

Starting early May is my last gasp for some time. You know, a job. ;-)

Perhaps I can reclaim 4th from @Darren S for a brief spell.

Definitely will hit Custer, hope to see half of you there. Paired or not. ;-)

@NKYTA, I'd be honored if you reclaimed 4th from me. If you head out before mid-May then you probably will do that but I'm lining up a cross-country trip in late-May to the 'low hanging fruit' of Cali so I'm hoping to clear out a bunch of them.

I'm trying to plan that L.A. trip so I can make it to the great Custer gathering as it would be fun to meet some others from the list and also be at a location's grand opening.

There might be no more new superchargers on this trip but that doesn't mean the trip is over. Friend of mine talked me into hitting a minor league hockey game in Tri-Cities, WA on the way home so here I am charging to full in Winnemucca and attempting a desert crossing to Baker City, OR.

Don't worry about me, I have a bottle of water and a hat.

Interesting, but with that elevation gain toward the end it's almost certain you'll need to hit Boise on the way (or John Day or Prairie City) but would be outstanding if you could make it in a single run. Good luck !
I didn't have much gamble in me this late in the trip. Currently plugged in to the FREE 72a public charger at the Say When Casino in McDermitt, NV (Oregon border). Sad to see nearly everything has gone out of business since the last time I drove through here in 2010 or so. It's pretty much just the Say When and the new ish Chevron. I'm guessing the Chevron put them out of business. If only they had invested in some destination chargers!

It's still an adventure to cross that area anyway. Nice that there are even Public chargers available.

It was apparently installed by the Boise Tesla Owners Club.

Plans B and C were NEMA 14-50s further down the road that had FEES. I never called so not even sure if they are open this time of year, or, a bigger concern, how late they would be open. Plan D was iron-manning to Baker City which I do think was possible although not very comfortable with no HVAC and slow speeds. Cabin temp was 90F on the way to McDermitt but I plan on using A/C now that I have some cushion. Plan E was detouring to the Boise supercharger. Really didn't want to go into Boise, but if nothing else, it was a GREAT insurance plan.

Who says this forum isn't educational? I never knew (or thought about) NV bordered OR.

PLUS - is that a slots-only casino? I don't see it listed in the publication.
The NV/OR border is one of the most desolate parts of the country. SE Oregon in particular is shockingly empty, in particular the area south and east of Burns.

Another one that always seemed strange to me was the NM/OK border. I have been there too and it is also fairly desolate. The Oklahoma panhandle is still living up to the "No Man's Land" moniker to this day.

Anyways, yes the Say When is slots only and it was pretty much the same as I remember it last time I went through which was probably about 10 years ago.

Barry Meadow had a pretty funny chapter about playing blackjack in McDermitt in his book Blackjack Autumn which was written maybe 15-20 years ago. He said it was the only place he played where the dealer drank *and* smoked while dealing him cards. I'm pretty sure the place he played was the bar across the street though, not the Say When. I did go into that place 10 years ago but by then it was only a bar, no drunken bartender to deal me blackjack. This time it appeared to be completely shuttered so that's too bad. BJ Autumn is a hilarious book by the way. Worth reading for anyone who likes gambling and/or old Nevada casinos. The premise of the book is that he decided to go on a trip and play blackjack at every casino in Nevada. Took him a couple months but the stories are great, especially the stories of the $25 max games in crappy little towns like McDermitt :)

I read that book years ago, but didn't recall that. On a similar note - the place in CC that had the double exposure promo, where we crossed paths, permits dealers to keep a bottle of water on the table and one across the street will deliver meals to players at the BJ tables.

At the charger in Las Vegas (the one near old downtown) I took a stroll a few blocks over to the El Cortez casino and was surprised to see they still had COIN slot machines as the tell-tale clank-clank-clank of a payout is unmistakable. I thought all of these had been converted to the boring electronic versions.

More surprising was the SINGLE DECK Blackjack tables. Wow. SINGLE DECK ??? I just had to play as I've never seen that ever.

It is a bit of an adventure, I did the Winnemucca to Bend OR leg last summer charging in McDermitt for an hour and then Burns for 4 hours. Both chargers were installed by the Boise Club. It's particularly (and beautifully) desolate after you leave US95 to head towards Burns, it's the only time my car has ever come up with the message "You are now out of range of all known chargers"
