This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

We visited my 2nd cousin, Janet Lucus, the University of Pacific Athletic Director in Stockton.
We are spending 2 nights in Yosemite.
I am writing this from our room at the Ahwahnee. There is only 1 Tesla charger (and another J1772) but looks to be about 5 Teslas wanting to charge.
Tomorrow we plan to drive over 120 and spend the night at the Virginia Creek Settlement (they have a Tesla destination charger) where we plan to spend the night sleeping in a covered wagon.

I'm surprised you could get the post up. The Ahwahnee's wifi is garbage.

I never had a problem getting a plug there. Shows what a difference a week makes. The Valley Lodge has a few plugs, too, if you want to venture that way, but you probably know that.

The covered wagon thing sounds awesome!

... And, generally speaking, getting up and in the park early is a good plan. We haven't made it to Arches yet, and by all accounts, that place is a total goat rodeo right now. We'll have to get there by 6 am to get a chance to get in with the car.

Some suggestions for Arches, if you do go there and it is crowded. If you go really early as you suggest (6 AM seems extreme, but I haven't been there in summer for some years, so I'm out of date) you can make a quick tour of the Windows section first thing (North and South Windows, Turret Arch, and huge Double Arch) before it gets crowded.

After that, there are a couple of trails that few know about:

Broken Arch/Tapestry Arch. There is a trailhead on the main road at Sand Dune Arch but I prefer the trailhead in the Devil's Garden campground at the end of the park road. There are several parking spaces for the trailhead next to the campground restroom across from campsite 40. If those are full, you can park in the main lot for Landscape Arch and then walk into the campground to pick up the trailhead there. Broken Arch Trail is a loop that starts and ends in the campground, about 1.3 miles. It is little used compared to nearby Landscape Arch Trail, which is heavily used. If you do go to Landscape Arch, please walk a little farther and check out Partition Arch also.

Tower Arch. Getting to the Klondike Bluffs trailhead for Tower Arch involves about 8.3 miles on a dirt road, so few do it. The turnoff is about a mile before the main road ends at Devil's Garden trailhead. The trail to Tower Arch is 3.4 miles round trip and involves hiking on slickrock and some sandy washes.

Of course there are many great places to see in Arches but I mention these two as a way to get out and about and avoid crowds, if that is of interest to you. [Arches is one of my "local" national parks and I've been there many times over the years.]

^ Tower Arch. This the one reached from the Klondike Bluffs trailhead, 8 miles in on a dirt road (passable by regular cars except when wet).


^ Landscape Arch. The trail to this arch, from Devil's Garden trailhead, will be crowded unless you get there early.


Partition Arch. A short distance beyond Landscape Arch, relatively few people make this side trip. Nice vistas through the arch.


Turret Arch. One of the arches in the main Windows Section of the park.


^ Double Arch. Another arch in the main Windows Section. To get an idea of how big it is, there are two people under the arch in my photo — see if you can spot them!

I was given a motel room once where the large window was completely boarded over with plywood—the only room (out of over 100) with a boarded up window. I'm fairly sure that there were plenty of other available rooms. I considered complaining, but, honestly, I was only there to get sleep, and I sleep better in darkened rooms. Arches national park is, in my opinion, the best part of Utah. My dogs & I enjoyed several hikes.

I'm fairly sure that there were plenty of other available rooms. I considered complaining, but, honestly, I was only there to get sleep, and I sleep better in darkened rooms. I can see where it wouldn't be a huge issue if just crashing for a few hours. In this case, I booked two nights taking advantage of my end of the road day in Canada (driving out to Nova Scotia and back today). Considering it was the first, and probably only, time on this trip I could stay consecutive nights in the same place, I was hoping for something nicer and paid accordingly. Anyways, I did wake up to a voice mail from the manager offering to upgrade my room for the 2nd night and it is a much nicer room, so I feel reasonably compensated. Still, I would have rather had any old average room (with window) for both nights and not had to go through the whole complaint/compensate process along with packing up and unpacking again.

Alas, on to more important things... if they don't open any new superchargers in Canada in the next few hours, I will have swept the entire country! A rare feat, but I believe I did pull this off once before back in 2018 or 2019.

I've had this happen twice, both in old downtown hotels. Once in Vancouver BC about 12 years ago, I think it was branded a Hilton Garden Inn at the time and the room was tiny with two twin beds, it worked out fine since it was just my brother and myself for the night and we were there for a concert that night. The other time however was in the historic Benson Hotel in Portland OR that I had booked for our 10th wedding anniversary with a special hotel "romantic package". On top of no windows the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I raised a stink about that one (and i'm really low key, it takes a lot for me to raise a fuss) and they upgraded us to a fantastic large corner room.

No window but we do have a door. Virginia Creek Settlement a few miles north of 120 and 395 in California. They also have a 70A Tesla destination charger.

I have cleared Canada! (for now)


I pulled into the lone Nova Scotia supercharger to find another blue Model S with WA plates already charging. They even had my same white leather interior! I introduced myself and the couple was also from Seattle and lived just a couple miles away from me. Totally hilarious to run into them at the North American supercharger that is farthest from home (just looked it up and it edges out Marathon, FL by 42 miles). Especially considering travel to Canada is still somewhat restricted and travel to Nova Scotia is even more restricted.
