More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

I went through my Teslafi logs to see where I charged. It turns out about half of them didn't even register because I was just plugging in, waiting for the amps to ramp up and then unplugged again. Teslafi takes a sample only once a minute so it missed many. I could have waited a little over a full minute to make sure it was captured, but when you visit over 60 stations that adds over an hour of time.

Looking back I could have gotten maybe 5 to 10 more if I had planned it better. I lost valuable time getting confused about one station I had visited before. I didn't research the opening times of the stations and missed one. I didn't look up the info on which level the station is in parking garages and knowing what entrance to enter the garage. A more optimized route might have saved time as well. I was pretty much winging it and eyeballing it as I went. I could have picked a day with less traffic. A copilot would help tremendously.

There is a new Supercharger in Chevy Chase, north of Washington. It is ready and turned on, but since it is in a construction zone it is not added to the map. I know about it from a Tesla service man who I had a brief chat with. I tried going there but it is closed and I wasn't able to get to it. I will try again the next few days.

If anyone wants to try
8551 Connecticut Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815
There is underground parking under the residential part of the complex. When I drove in there, most of the parking garage was fenced off. It could be that the supercharger is in the hotel parking garage but that was not accessible when I tried.

7 May 2022:

340. Salt Lake City, UT - S 300 W

That's it for today; slim pickings on a route I've done seven times before, at least here in the Intermountain West.
You were there almost exactly a year ago!

5-4-21:

222. Draper, UT
223. Salt Lake City, UT - South 300 West
224. Burley, ID

Big haul for me today (May 7, 2022) with a whopping 45 total new superchargers! It took me just under 13 1/2 hours and 329 miles (counting the drive back to my hotel). When I planned this day back in mid-January, I was expecting to top @Big Earl on the list of most obtained in a single day, but @Thinkje beat me to it! And of course, @David99 just amassed a huge 24 hour haul! Kudos to all of you! Also, I hit #400 in the process, even though I wasn’t paying attention at the time to which one it was (turned out to be San Ramon).

Awesome job and congrats on 400!!

Started the elk tour. Unfortunately alone, but will meet my girlfriend in Tromsø, where the real holiday will start.

Got my 300th supercharger (Odense, Denmark) on the way. The one before was Neumünster. PXL_20220508_110937942.jpgPXL_20220508_074337438.jpg

Not so!

I think there is a naming confusion between the two new ones in SLC. My previous one was the one at the SLC service center. This new one seems to be called the same on Tesla nav:

^ Note that this is the new V3 station with eight stalls. I think supercharge.info has it as Marketplace at 18th.

Tesla Nav now refers to the urban chargers at the service center as just Salt Lake City, UT:

^ Note that these are the urban chargers at the service center.

Regardless, the one I got yesterday was the new V3 with eight stalls. I really have all three SLC stations now.

I am not confused but, perhaps, Tesla is!

I added the entry to the spreadsheet. I'll look at the supercharge.info (and our) naming.

Edit: I updated our naming.
1. Original SLC supercharger was called Salt Lake City. Now nav calls is South Salt Lake and website calls is Salt Lake City - S State Street. I chose the website to minimize the name change and keep all the SLC superchargers together alphabetically.
2. Second SLC supercharger at the service center at 1038 S 300 W was called S 300 W. Nav now calls it Salt Lake City and website still calls is Salt Lake City South 300 West. I chose nav and added (SC) after which is our convention for service centers.
3. Third SLC supercharger (new V3) at 1830 S 300 W is called Salt Lake City - S 300 W in nav and website, and we now match.

Weekend trip and I cleaned up some nagging sites, spreadsheet updated. The conductor of my high school choir is retiring after 47 years of teaching. It was his last concert and he invited alumni back to join the performance.
5/6: Hudson NY, Red Hook NY, New Paltz NY, Roscoe NY
5/7: Jim Thorpe PA South, Reading PA, Ephrata PA, Lancaster PA, Denver PA, King of Prussia PA - S Henderson, North Wales PA, Doylestown PA, Elverson PA, Jim Thorpe PA North
5/8: Flemington NJ, Elizabeth NJ, Kearny NJ, Jersey City Mall NJ, Ossining NY, Stamford CT, Madison CT North & South, Warwick RI, Seekonk MA, Somerville MA

Trip notes:
1) The drive from New Paltz to Roscoe through the mountains of the Mohawks was very scenic and enjoyable with the car because of hills and switchbacks. The diner at the New Paltz charger was very good as well.
2) Don't be afraid of the Ossining NY site by name. Right down the road is Sleepy Hollow and the cemetery is very interesting with Washington Irving's grave and a fellow named Crane a stone's throw away from it.
3) Not drive-related - If you're lucky enough to have had a teacher or mentor that really got you and let you be you, then it is truly a special gift. There was a point in college where I realized that the science courses weren't going so well and I'd switch over to music because, well, I could sing. I dodged a bullet there but it's a testament to the conductor that I even considered it. Besides teaching, he instilled discipline and fostered creativity even outside of the music courses. In his departing words, he said that we were all chapters in his book. And that made me realize that he's also a chapter in mine.

Returning to DC after five difficult weeks of helping my dad in Minnesota. I suspect I'll be in Minnesota a fair bit going forward.

I am taking a relatively direct return to DC. I don't think most people would consider it direct but it's basically a beeline for this competition. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it through Chicago tonight so I'm in for some *fun* tomorrow.

The Supercharger on South Livingston Street in Madison, WI is pretty cool. Photos below. It's right downtown too.

341. Hines, OR

I've been waiting for this one for years, to take the direct route from Ontario to my sister's house near Terrebone. (So now she's thinking of moving back to the wet side because she's tired of drought, smoke and fire danger.)

20220508_135723~3.jpg

^ Hines OR Supercharger Station. Wild weather: snowing and 33°.

Strong headwinds, then 75 miles west the road was white with snow. Pretty hairy driving for mid May in Oregon!

This one threw me for a loop because that's "Fremont". ("How could you get down to Fresno and back to the Bay Area during a 53-Supercharger run?!?")

But even more importantly...you didn't wave when you came through here... ;)

Congratulations on 400!

Bruce.
