Suspension Upgrades for 2022 model Y

I got a Model Y with a build date of October and another one with a January build date. They drive completely different. The January one seems to have a different suspension.

Has there been an upgrade to the suspension on top of the AMD chips and 12v battery?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. According to the parts catalog, looks like they're already on E and F iterations of the strut and coil spring assembly. I am willing to bet that's not what's installed on my 2020 LR.

Yes. More composed and there is less noise over bumps. tires on the October build are at 42 and the new one at 40. I will being them up to 42, but I do not think that is the reason.

Everything identical other than color and psi. One 40 and the other 42

I can say on my June 2020 build that there seems to be a significant ride quality difference between 40psi and 42psi, so the difference could simply be the tire pressure.

I'm going to reduce mine for sure when I get it. Not sure yet if I need to get something like MPP or not...

hmmmm.....still riding on 45 psi set from dealer here, will try to reduce psi and see if it makes the ride better.

It looks like it is all the same. Maybe it was just built with love… I have not inflated the tires because I do not want to mess it up

This is going to sound crazy but I remember test driving the Model Y before placing my order and thinking it was a little bit rougher than I realized. I got my car last month and have driven over 2000 miles now and its much smoother than the test drive car. I just guessed that people beat the piss out of the demo car. My Model Y has been almost as smooth as my Model X ride.

Tire pressure has been adjusted and results are the same. Car drives much better than the other one. There is another post about weight reduction. But definitely something changed.

I got my car last month and have driven over 2000 miles now and its much smoother than the test drive car. I just guessed that people beat the piss out of the demo car. My Model Y has been almost as smooth as my Model X ride.

I hope that I have the same experience. Test drive was awesome but ride and interior noise level was disappointing. Delivery end of May-June.

Yes, tires are the same. I also feel the difference on my winter setup
