We now have the M3LR and 14-30 UMC adapter and have used this setup several times at the default 24A for multiple hours of charging without any issues.
The switch is mounted in an extended octagon metal box and screwed to a metal face plate, so it's easy to monitor temperature. It's barely risen above ambient, as measured with an infrared temp gun or by hand.
