System faults occur when it rains (APP_w264, DI_a246, and more)

Every time it has begun to rain, my model three goes into a panic and disables basically all of the safety features and autopilot.

Running FSD 10.3.1 (2021.36.5.3)

Here’s a list of all the alerts:

Lane departure avoidance feature is unavailable (APP_w264)

Automatic emergency braking is disabled (APP_w009)

Regenerative braking disabled (DI_a039)

Traction control reduced (DI_a203)

Automatic vehicle hold disabled (DI_a346)

Traction control disabled (DI_a223)

Stability control disabled (DI_a222)

Safety restraint system fault (RCM_a090)

Cruise control disabled

I scheduled it a couple weeks ago when it began for next Tuesday - which was the earliest appointment, but had no idea what the cause was at the time. It’s done this multiple times and the only consistent thing has been the weather changing to downpour. Worked fine for eight hours yesterday then bam, rain and faults, today worked fine for two hours then it started to rain.

Just updated to FSD 10.4 (2021.36.8.5) and even pressing the button at the end of the wiper stock is causing AP/CC to disengage - though the other errors haven’t appeared yet

I do not think software is going to fix your rain problem. Obviously something is leaking and causing a short. You need Tesla service.

It used to be like 4-5 years was typical but nowadays you're lucky to get 3 years.

Could be, but software update or this forum is not going to solve it for you You need service.

It ended up being a cambus connector in the D pillar that was broken on install. Odd that it’s only now causing an issue two years later.

Annnd that wasn’t it. It was ACTUALLY an issue caused by the wipers eroding the insulation on some important cable in the front. And whenever it rains, a short would occur. Though, without this issue the cambus might have become an actual problem beyond the warranty.

Same happened today during the rain with my 2021 Model Y. Hard reboot didn't help. It was towed away to Tesla service. Now let's see if that is caused by the same issue.

It was a rear left wheel sensor failure. It was fixed my replacing the whole hub and sensor.

Warranty, but I’m pretty sure they just put electrical tape over the exposed wire?
