Tailgate lights alignment

Folks - is this normal / acceptable? The tailgate lights align with one another and charging flap but not flush with bodywork. Do yours sit proud? Is this something worth asking Tesla to sort out.

Unfortunately this is very common.

It's also a bit of a hack to try and fix, there isn't any "designed-in" adjustment on the outer taillights. Inner headlight alignment is usually the boot. You may be lucky and find it's not clicked in correctly, but that's the exception.

It is basically a panel gap issue.

Personally, I would leave it be. If panel gaps are a concern, Tesla isn't the brand to go for.

Umm that’s what I thought. It actually looks quite tidy and lights aligned. Just not with body work. More pleasingly I sorted the tailgate that was missaligned.
How did you sort the misaligned tailgate? did you do it yourself? mine's looks ok but could just do with a very slight adjustment...not bad enough for me to put in for a service request 😅

There are a couple of rubber adjusters on the tailgate itself. Picture attached - not great quality. But you wind these out if the tailgate lights are more sunken in versus the outer lights. Go slow and do a couple of turns at a go and then check improvement. If you adjust this too much the rest of the tailgate will be misaligned with the outer shell of the car
