Unfortunately this is very common.
It's also a bit of a hack to try and fix, there isn't any "designed-in" adjustment on the outer taillights. Inner headlight alignment is usually the boot. You may be lucky and find it's not clicked in correctly, but that's the exception.
It is basically a panel gap issue.
Personally, I would leave it be. If panel gaps are a concern, Tesla isn't the brand to go for.
