That would require more effort than Tesla is willing to put into features. They'd rather announce the release of the feature while it still doesn't really work. Then they fix it when they get around to it, since the PR reward comes from the release of new features and the announcement of future features, not from making the features work well, be safe, or be polite to others on the road. It's irresponsible.
