Telsa Wall Chargers at Natick Mall

Tesla sent out invites for a grand opening at the store this evening 6-8pm.

Tried to charge my model X there, power is off, and not charging. Checked with the Natick Tesla employees, they said these chargers are reserved for Tesla store use only. Bummer.

Oh, well, still waiting for shopper's world super chargers to open. Until then, there are no super chargers with-in 15 miles.

We heard a different story last week from the Tesla employees: that there was an actual power issue.
There are L2 chargers in the Wegman's garage and in the Sears garage. The Framingham supercharger
should be opening "soon".

Hope Tesla resolves the power issue soon. 10 days into my Tesla ownership, two software updates already, but still looking forward to my first super charging experience.

Just to note: there are multiple free 30A J1772s in the Wegman's garage (where the Tesla store wall connectors used to be).

For those that frequent the Natick mall, keep your eyes open for any signs of construction for Urban Superchargers. I doubt anything is actually underway, and perhaps not even on the near horizon. But as Tesla was turning on the nearby Framingham superchargers last night, a discussion with the northeast SC team hinted that this was something that they might be working on.

It seems plausible - urban SC's in shopping malls is a perfect fit for local model 3 (and S/X) charging while shopping, while the Framingham regular SC site is still good for travelers coming through on the pike.
