Temp mounting Front Plate

Has anyone figured out a way to temporarily mount the front license plate? I need to go get my car inspected by the state. I don't want to run with it, but they use cameras during the inspection so I need to make sure its there. The delivery specialist recommended just using the adhesive and that it would come back off but that seems like a really bad idea to me.

Just use a weaker double sided tape - put it on right before the inspection and take if off right after.

Use 3m command strips. Easy on, easy off.

No. I used it before. You basically pull down and the adhesive gives and it comes off clean with no residue.
