Temporary Radar Detector Mount

I'm still waiting on Blendmount to create a mirror attachment for my radar detector. Once they do, I'll do a more permanent mount and route of radar detector and associated wires. In the meanwhile, I did a temporary mount using a magnetic phone mount. I just tucked the wires under the trim of the middle console all the way back and through a small crack in the rear of the console. I then plugged it into the 12V plug in the console. Hope you find this useful, while waiting for something more permanent. Took me about 10 minutes to do. Cheers.

does the radar detector stay on after you leave your car with sentry mode turned on? I can't seem to get that 12v outlet to turn off when sentry mode is on. Thanks
I've heard the same issue regarding the 12v constant on, but I haven't verified it personally in Sentry mode or not. I do know it powers off when Sentry mode is not activated. But my detector will automatically turn it's screen off after 10 minutes if no movement is detected, and will power off completely after a set amount of time (currently set to 4 hours).

I also have an Escort 360 and am planning a hardwired hidden mount up under the visor by the mirror. Prefer that location as it attracts less attention when parked.[/QUOTE]

Sounds like a good plan. Let us know how it goes, and how easy it is to run the wires. I've seen some videos of people running the wire down the A pillars of model 3's, but I'm nervous about the side curtain airbags. Also the trim of the A pillar seems a bit tricky to remove. My current setup uses a magnetic mount, so it's quick to remove and stash out of site in more sketchy areas.
