Temporary Touch Up Paint

My wife had a close encounter with a pole in a parking lot, and this was the result:

I've requested a repair from Tesla, but in the meantime, I'd like to make it look a little bit better with some touch up paint. I'm thinking the aerosol option from TouchUpDirect.com might be the best option. What do you think?

Aerosol is going to require masking of that entire side of the car to avoid over-spray. You're going to have to feather in the paint too, and sand to blend it, or paint the entire panel, or deal with a hard masking line. It's going to look pretty bad, and you risk getting over-spray on parts of the car that don't require repair.

If you're just trying make the car look good from 50 feet away, vinyl wrap of the door might be the least messy temporary solution. Or get some big racecar number stickers, or fake advertisement stickers!
