Ten months from delivery, multiple service cancellations - Part out of stock?

I have a small but irritating problem. Took delivery of Model S last July with plastic molding around passenger side light/coat hook missing. Noted on delivery paperwork. Since then, we have had more than ten service appointments rescheduled saying the part is out of stock. Service advisor our says our "concern" has been noted. I know this is a rather minor issue but ten months for a piece or trim seems unreasonable. I may resort to reaching out to owners of totaled cars or acquiring the replacement part from a loaner! This is our first Tesla so I'm seeking some perspective and any ideas on how to resolve. TIA
