I have never seen a Tesla ad before, but Tesla has now started advertising on the train in Norway:

I will, however I highly doubt it will happen in the near future, demand is to big here. This is also more of an ad for another store opening in Oslo.

Interesting that they advertise 502 km range. I wonder what that is based on? The Canadian site says 480 km (Ideal) or 425 km EPA Rated.

That's what teslamotors.com in EU advertises. I think it's the EU NEDC official rating for the car.

I assume, then, that the algorithm that predicts Rated and Ideal Range in the EU cars is tweaked to these numbers as well. Can anyone actually get 502 km? I'm pretty good at getting Rated Range (i.e. up to 425 km) on my car, but I'd have to work pretty hard to get anywhere close to 500.

Is this the first instance of Tesla advertising in the world? Seems so, unless someone pulls a rabbit out of the hat.

@Discoducky: I have the framed reprint of the one referenced in my post in my office, if you want to come scout it out.
Some guy said that a magasine called "vi menn" in Norway had a tesla ad in the last page a couple of weeks ago, will try to find out.
