Tesla is launching a new retail offensive with a focus on malls

• Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga, CA
• Del Amo, Torrance, CA
• Fashion Square, Sherman Oaks, CA
• Roseville Galleria, Roseville, CA

This is not something new right? The "old" Tesla showrooms that I know of are mostly in malls or near shopping area. Maybe in other states, they were not mostly in malls?

The Sherman Oaks and Torrance locations are still listed on Tesla's "Find Us" web page. The other two are not.

It depends on how store closure will save or hurt the profit because once Tesla signs a lease, it still has to pay until the lease is done.

I think that's why they reversed the store closure plan and wait out till the leases are done.

Rancho Cucamonga, which would have been my local showroom, opened on Dec 11, 2018, and closed February 28, 2019. It was in an outdoor mall across the street from the only Apple Store serving the largest county in the country. I have trouble believing that a lack of foot traffic was the reason that one closed.
