Tesla app and location tracking

I just received my car.
I am set up as primary on my iPhone with my own account.
My wife has set up her own account on her iPhone.
I sent her an invite and she is able to do what she needs.

The only thing is that neither of us wishes to track the other.

Is there a way to disable that feature?

you could try turning off location permissions for the Tesla app. it may not function completely with it off.

Don't think that would matter. When accessing the location of the car using the app, you're using the car's GPS to track its location, and it doesn't matter if the driver has the mobile app in the car. The location settings on the phone only determine whether the app can determine where the phone is located, in order to use Summon for example.

So little trust…. What’s the big deal?

Put the "key" on an extra phone and then just use that as the keywhen someone uses the car. Or use the key cards and don’t use the mobile app. Or key fob.
