Tesla App mystery notification

Anyone ever get a notification on their Tesla app badge - a number 1 in a red circle - that seems to indicate you have an email or something. See image below...

I have had this for 2 weeks and can't find what it is trying to notify me about. The only Tesla message I have is the default welcome message about Inbox. It won't go away even if I restart app or phone.

Sounds like a bug in the app, it's easy to mess that up on iOS unless you really do have some hidden notification like a software update.. mine is 42.3, yours?

Mine is 44.2 but the android app is 3.6.1 version, which you can see if you look under settings.

Only thing I can think is I have calendar synch on, and it is telling me I have calendar items today?

Never seen that for calendar, just the big calendar on the car's screen..

Haha OK I just figured it out. It is only telling me the number of notifications on my phone which are currently and always active. In this case, it is always telling me it is paired with my car, which is a notification I can't swipe away, which is why it says 1 all the time. It just started showing a 2 for the first time when I got another notification that charging was complete (which I can swipe away).

I can change it in android settings to not bother telling me I am paired with my car all the time.

I'm one of those that can't abide by "unanswered alerts" so this would make me crazy! Glad you found the cause..

I know, it was driving me bananas.

Murphys Law dictates that after 2 weeks I would figure this out 5 minutes after postng to the forums.

Ya, on Android if an app wants to run a persistent / sticky background service it's required to show a notification, hence the entry in your notification tray and adaptive icon, which you've already figured out

I get this all the time based on how I've set my notifications in the Android app. I just clear the message

Late reply but I just found that turning off "app Icon badges" clears the 1 notification.

Even later reply, but I am thankful that I can now get rid of notification numbers that appear to mean nothing.
